Famous woman in the 20th century

 

Tarja Halonen is the first woman who became a president of Finland. She was born on 24.12.1943 in Helsinki. Halonen was voted to become the president in the year 2000 and in the year 2006. She made very much for Finland.
Tarja’s husband is Doctor Pentti Arajärvi. They got married on 26.8.2000. Tarja Halonen has a daughter Anna with her ex husband Kari Pekkonen. They have two cats, named Miska and Rontti. Miska is black and Rontti is grey. Tarja’s hobbies are swimming, oriental dance, visual arts and  theatre.
Halonen has lawyer education and she has been a member of Parliament over 20 years.
Tarja Halonen focuses on the field of solidary, tolerance,  human rights, peace, rasisms and sexual equality.
